About me
Anushka Kalro is an Indian artist currently living and working in Bengaluru, India. Her preferred media are ink on paper, watercolor, installation with found objects, and digital. In the past, she has been commissioned to create original artworks and installations for brands like Air Asia, Jones Lang Lasalle, TedXBangalore, Dell, and Swissnex. She is a collaborator on a coffee table book chronicling life in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru’s oldest locale and is presently working on a second book called ‘Dekho Magar Pyaar Se’.
Presently, Anushka is a creative practitioner and founder of a brand and visual communication design studio called Gunpowder & Ghee. She is also part time faculty teaching high school students the relationship between art, design, and life. Anushka received her training at Srishti School of Art and Design, Bengaluru, after which she expanded her learning with short fellowships at Parsons, The New School, and Stanford GSB.
